I have tried that method, if i do that the Application messages are also
cleared isn't it?? As the flow of the program is such that my application
messages are send to the PGMQ first and then the OPNQRY/CPYFRMQRYF is
executed...:-)

Clear the program(A) message SFL, prior to loading the data subfile.....
and after the control returns to RPG from CL.
This should work.
