If you put a two in front of the spool file and then on the command line at
the bottom of your screen type SCHEDULE(*IMMED).

Or you can do a printer file override OVRPRTF FILE(prtfnam) SCHEDULE(*IMMED)
in the CL of the calling CL program.

Or you could change the printer file itself to do the SCHEDULE(*IMMED) - do
CHGPRTF FILE(prtfnam) SCHEDULE)(*IMMED).

I hope some of this helps you.

Subject: Printing a report while program is active

I have a program which uses a function key to generate a report based on
some selection criteria but the report won't print until I exit the
program.

Is there a way to 'force' the spool file to close and print without
exiting

Thanks
