What does "open source" mean in your mind?

The plan is to release it as "freeware" or "Shareware" with a "donation" if
you like it--sort of like WinZip does now--where there would be no trial
period or function crippling, but rather just an occasional nag screen that
says "Hey if you like this, why not send in a buck or two to Bob Cozzi's
Daughter's Wedding fund". Something like that.

That's cool.

Not sure what good opening up the source would do.
It is written in Microsoft Visual C++ with MFC. How many RPG programmers can
do that and code in RPG with SEU? Not more than a hand full I would expect.

Yep, not me. I've never been a C++ person. I gave up on C-anything after plain old C. Yuck. And who needs Microsoft Foundation Crap? You must really like to torture yourself. Just kidding, sort of.

Do you have any suggestions?

Sorry, not any really great and magic ones.

Regards,
Rich
