WDSc will work on a 1/2 gig RAM PC, but what would you want to. It really does require 1 gig to perform like any other app would on a 128 Meg machine. 1.8 Ghz CPU is a minimum too, I think. But slower machines will be okay if you have the full gig of ram installed. I was most surprised that the update speed back to the 400 was tremendous: practically instantaneous, even on a very large source member. Navigation is a little quirky and as with any new product there are some idiosynchracies to get used to, but other than that I think I'm going to like it a lot.
