Yes, but the cool thing about Java (esp. over something like RPG) is that
you can learn, practice and do all this stuff on your home PC and apply that
knowledge to your iSeries at work.

There is so much to learn and I'm not using this 'for real' anywhere so that

Which means you're in effect building JavaServer Pages, which are nothing
more than HTML and some data filled in from a JavaBean.  The only thing you
need to do now is to write a servlet to call your RPG logic, put the data
into a JavaBean and invoke the JSP!
