CPYFRMIMPF is the command you want to use,
this will take the csv file and dump it into
a predefined 400 database file.

I have seen this thread before and think I am still missing something
somewhere.

If I have a CSV file and I want to be able to get it into a basic field
defined DDS file, can I use the CPYTOIMPF command? Right now I have been
taking it into FoxPro and then saving it back out as an .sdf type file.
Then the CPYFRMPCD command takes it from there.

Excel will read the CSV file that CPYTOIMPF generates

   Hi all:

I did find a lot interesting things @ midrange regarding converting PF to
an Excel file. But still a few questions remain:

Using CPYTOIMPF, I was able to create Source Member containing formatted
   data i.e. character strings in ' " ' and numbers separated by ' , '.

But I would like to generate an Excel file from this member without any
human intervention i.e. programmatically. How do I achieve that?

   Please advise.

   Regards,
