Hi Hrishkesh,
You can copy the data from the physical file to the IFS as a CSV file and
then access it from the IFS. CPYTOIMPF- the archives should have an example
of the usage of this command.
Thanks

Subject: AS400 to EXCEL

   Hello Everyone:

My objective is to convert a physical file to Excel, using RPG. The way I
envision using this is when a user runs a report, he can choose to print
   or download to Excel.
   Is FTP an option?

   Please advise.

   Regards,

   Hrishikesh Kotwal
