Nick, the printf result isn't displayed until it gets an end-of-line
character.  It's coded as '\n' in C, but that's a single character
representing x'15'.

D newline        c           x'15'

   callp   printf('this is the message' + newline)

By the way, make sure you have at least one OPTIONS(*NOPASS) parameter
in your prototype even if you always want to pass all the parameters. 
Otherwise some of your parameters won't be passed correctly.
