Thank you for responding.  I am fairly new to programming and have one other
question.  When you refer to putting the records into memory, are you
referring to an array?

I generally just update the existing record with all zeros/blanks so that
it appears as a "blank record" on the display.    This serves as a visual
notification to the user that the record has been deleted.

Otherwise, all I can suggest is read all of the subfile records into
memory, then clear the subfile and write them all back, omitting the one
you want to delete.
