Got it.  I was thinking more along the lines of (what I think of as normal)
messages like buffer size too small, OPNQRYF messages and so on.  I simply
wasn't in gear enough to think of this as being an artifact of your
company's standard message subfile processing.  Your note prompted me to
think about how I'm doing the same task, and why I don't see those messages.
Time to do some digging...
