True enough, but this stuff is so old and so abandoned that it will
probably never change so I would say "unsupported" yes, but don't worry
about your code not working later on.

If you find this out on your own, you are most likely an MI guru.  If
not, you know someone who is an MI guru.  This is stuff that gets into
(mostly, I think) undocumented system internals.  (undocumented =
unsupported)

Once someone told me which command to run with the right parameters, it
was a matter of scanning the dumps using before and after snapshots
after changing one PDM default option at a time.  Yeah, fun stuff.

That's why I always like to ask if someone else has already invented
that wheel.  <g>
