IMHO,

The only advantage an O-spec has over an externally described printer file
is that you can use array elements in the output. Other than that, give me
PRTFs. Code Designer is by far not a great tool, but it beats printer
spacing charts, (or counting on your fingers, toes, or any other
appendage), laying out O-specs.

again, just my very humble opinion.
