Excellent Eric!  I knew that help was in there somewhere but I'd forgotten
where.  I had to show a 'veteran' that you can extend the length of a
field with the & character and couldn't remember where that help was.

For the record, from any command prompt screen, press F13, then pg down to
"Selective Prompting" to get the whole scoop.  I must have missed looking
at
this for the first five or six years programming the as400.

Your memory is playing tricks with you.

Try this: ?wrkobjpdm ??lib(mylib)

You'll get the WRKOBJPDM prompt with LIB(MYLIB) filled in but enterable.
