Maybe I do not understand your question. I think that OVRDBF with EOFDLY() is 
what you want. The maximum you can specify is EOFDLY(99999) which is over 27 
hours. If 27 hours isn't long enough, maybe you need a different concept 
entirely. In fact, the suggestions to use a trigger program seem best overall.

Can you explain more about what you need to do?
