I guess you are missing the %trimr:

Eval      Text = %trimr(Text) + ', License #: ' + E$DrLc

Why doesn't the following code work?

Can't figure out why Text isn't appended to after the first assignment
line.

Let's not get into any VARYING discussions or anything like that.  I just
wanna know how to get this to work.
