If it's a database file then it's better to keep the PF as a data repository and
access records via a logical view; probably a logical file (LF) but possibly SQL
or OPNQRYF - as already mentioned. Using relative record no (rrn) with SETLL or
CHAIN should be avoided if possible although, inevitably, there are exceptiions!
