I'm going to test it, but I believe in RPGIII and later a file with
OUPUT and OUTPUT/ADD are the same type of open. So the file will not be
cleared when a file is open for "output only".

  I always thought the  'O' would append to a file and just prevented me
from updating the existing records, I had no idea it would clear the
file first....
