Re: Retrieve Job Number Within RPG

The SBMJOB command issues a CPC1221 message that indicates the name, number
and user id of the submitted job.

You can call a CL pgm from pgm ABC to receive the messages from the program
message queue and find this message, then get the data from the MSGDTA to
determine the job number of the submitted job.
