If I understand the ILE Concepts manual correctly, I believe that in RPG
IV,
the pointer gets resolved when the called program is activated.  This
implies that we only get a refreshed pointer when a new activation group
is
created, either through activating a program in a group that doesn't exist
in the job yet or a *NEW group.
