LVLCHK(*NO) is fine unless you use it to avoid analysing the impact of the
file change.

Huh?

If you do anything like:
CPYF primary reorg mbropt(*replace)
SORTF
copy from production to test library
CPYTOTAP
SAVOBJ/RSTOBJ

you need to be aware that a longer/different record layout will impact all
of these operations and maybe more.
