Just a suggestion....

Because of the differences with SQL (i.e it is not record level access) your 
data base integrity would be better served if you did start Journaling.


Also worth noting:

When you create a collection (equals library) CREATE COLLECTION.  IBM populates 
the library with a journal QSQJRN and some really useful views.

When you create a table (equals file) CREATE TABLE.  IBM automatically attaches 
the file to journal QSQJRN if it exists in the library.

Of course, the question does come to mind: if the command name is
CRTSQLRPGI, indicating an RPGILE module, and almost all RPG runs on an
AS/400, and I'd be willing to bet that the majority of them are NOT
journaling, shouldn't the command default be *NONE?  Either that or my view
of the world is far too simplistic...
