I'm not against the idea -- but I wouldn't put much of my proverbial $100 toward
the I/O portion.

I would be willing to put more of my $100 towards these BIFs, which is where I'd
rather see more "standardization".  String handling in RPG IV is come a *long*
way the last decade, but there is still room for improvement...
