Client Access & AS/400

Hi,

I am developing an application on as/400 by using RPG but need to develop
user reports on client because of colorful presentation and most of the
reports forms are preprinted. Our database will be reside on as/400 but need
to access required files and selected data from client. Data to be saved on
client in MS Access and then reports would be generated and printed from
client. I want records selection criteria for selecting user requested data
from client.

I have no idea how to do it, what tools, software and technical expertise is
needed. Any advice and idea would be appreciated.
