Email system

I'm currently searching high and low for software that will basically allow
me to email out and to process automatically email back in.  Any ideas?

Currently we fax instructions to our engineers but would like to improve the
service by emailing those that can and want to accept email.  A SPLF is
faxed automatically, in the background, after the users have input enough
information into our system, and this must continue.  I am aware of many
pieces of software that allow you to achieve this using a CL or RPG command,
but I haven't found any software that controls the responses.  The responses
could be data or errors (ie address doesn't exist) but I need to then
process these and place them on one of the user's work queues (another
in-house system), so that they are not ignored.  All reply's will come to
the same email address, and I appreciate, will have to use some sort of
template so that I know where vital information (reference number etc.) will
be.

I believe we are using a Domino box to send if that's of any use?

I hope this makes sense...any help would be greatly received.
