the following page describes the relationship between the various DB2 UDB's.
iSeries is not really the odd duck here - many outside of iSeries may think
of the
DB2 as the DB2 Version 7 fixpack 3 for Unix, Windows, and dare I say it,
OS/2.
Even within this one version, there are platform differences (few). There is
also
zOS & iSeries. this page is about building portable apps.
