It looks like a typo, sorry!  The override command should read OVRDBF
MASTER
MBR(JAN)

I'm sorry for the confusion.  That post (5 Mar 2002) also says this:
"The override from the OPM carries into AG('QILE')"  Specifically, OPM
overrides carry into named activation groups if the OVRSCOPE is the default
(*ACTGRPDFN) but the reverse is NOT true.  If you issue an override in a
NAG, OPM cannot see it.
