I first learnt COBOL in 1975. Just as I was getting the hang of it (around 1976 
or so) they said (the proverbial "they") that COBOL was eventually being 
replaced by ......... (you name it). It seems that both COBOL and RPG are the 
computerdoms equivalent of LATIN

and that no one codes new stuff in RPG.

All I can say is I code new stuff in RPG all the time.  Weekdays, weekends,
weeknights, holidays, right this moment in fact.

I'd hate to see what it would be like if RPG was alive.  I wouldn't be able
to handle the demand.
