RE: Skip Writing to Journal Receiver When Updating a JournaledFi le

You must use journaling for commitment control.  My lack of experience in
journaled environments makes me question the notion that switching off
commitment control will stop journaling as well.  Somehow, I doubt that my
suggestion is valid.
