The future of RPG (was DIM question)

Well for one thing they're working on a major upgrade to the tools and
retrofitting XP install to the old version wouldn't do a thing for the
myriad of CD sets out there.  That's one of the problems of shipping on a
"burnt" media.  As to why it didn't install correctly out of the box - well
in the past MS have played silly buggers with regard to allowing IBM access
to the beta programs.  This may well have still be the case.
