That's what I'm afraid of; that many RPG programmers aren't asking for these
enhancements because they've never been exposed to them, so they don't know
how useful they can really be.

There was a lengthy thread regarding this about a year ago. Check the
archives for "Overloading in RPG". However, based on the resistance to
qualified names, I suspect that we'll never see overloading in RPG. At least
not during our careers.
