But wouldn't the ability to use feature X regardless of what release
customers are on, be useful? If I'm on say V5R1 and another customer's
on V5R3, then in V5R6 IBM adds say a character-numeric converter,
built-in function, wouldn't you like to be able to take advantage of
that feature in your software, regardless of what release you are on or
your customers are running?
