We just upgraded from V4R5 to V5R1 over the weekend, a consultant is using
sndpgmmsg with
user message file for screen messages.

He did not change or compile anything; it is an RPGILE program calling a
"normal" C/L which
contains the sndpgmmsg command - IF he changes back to just RPG, it works -

I looked through the archives and have been searching IBM's site but have
not really found
anything similar.

Has anyone else ran across this with the upgrade -

This is a style he uses often ; not one I use; I personally like to see my
messages
in the code as constants - therefore I do not have anything that got hit -

Other side note to those of you planning an upgrade - beware; SOME hardware
is no longer supported,
better check out EVERYTHING before hand; we got bit by some ipds emulation
cards are no longer
supported on V5R1, so we had to order quickly.

TIA
