the only way i have been able to figure out to do it, is to use a little
freeware utility called Convert.exe by Bruce Guthrie and convert the DBF
file to an ASCII text file and then transfer the data to the 400.

You could put that in a batch file and run the batch file from the 400.

if there is a better way, i'm all ears.

Does anyone know if you can convert a DBF file to a PF on the As/400. Right
now I have to FTP the file into my windows server, Use data transfer to
create a database file, anf then tansfer the data over to the as/400. I
would to do everything on the 400 and eliminate the windows box.
