That's great, but ouch, I-specs -

The following F-spec is sooo much easier.

Flffile  IF    E      K Disk   prefix(A_) rename(rcdfmta:newfmt)


This renames the record format and places(in this example) the A_ infront
of all your field names.  Works well for any files that have the same field
name(s) attached to them.  You can use whatever you prefer, my own
preference
is something and the underscore to help me remember that it is a renamed
field.

Just some food for thought.

SORRY ALL,

I was totally off.
I looked again and saw that I after renaming the record format for the
new logical, I didn't add the new format with fields in my input specs.
ie.
   * (new named logical format)

ISAFCHDV2

  I              SATL05
  I              SATL06
  I              SATL07
