SQL Problem -- RPG400-L

Is there a way to convert in SQL, a code from a table in something more
significant?
Select field1, field2, field3 (this one is the code field) but list X, L, M
etc. and i want X appears as EXTRA, M = MEDIUM and L as LARGE.
