I forget where in the archives this is, but look for something along the
lines of call stack,
there was a time ago that someone posted the code for looking at the call
stack for basically
the same issue you have with regards to a trigger and "what called it".

Is there any way to get the pgm name that did the
update/insert/delete from the trigger buffer?  Or
anywhere else besides the journal?

My need is to block all pgms except the maintenance
pgm from updating the file.
