One record? or multiple records?
Every time you write to the Dataqueue you must call an API and check your
authorities, etc....
Once you open a file for add, the authority is checked and you may write
more than one record with the same authority check.

Subject: What is faster?

Hello!

What is faster, to write a record (2000 bytes) to a file with *VARLEN field
or to write the same data to a data Q?

We have tons of records, at the present we use DQ, while an other job is
reading it and writing the record to a file. I wonder if the performance
improves if we omit the DQ writing.

Any input is welcome.

Thanks,
Andras
