I thought a strength of the data q solution is that you could start another
instance of the other job and be writing records to the file with each
instance? Doubling the instances should halve the performance time?

Subject: What is faster?
Hello!
What is faster, to write a record (2000 bytes) to a file with *VARLEN field
or to write the same data to a data Q?
We have tons of records, at the present we use DQ, while an other job is
reading it and writing the record to a file. I wonder if the performance
improves if we omit the DQ writing.
Any input is welcome.
Thanks,
Andras
