STRCODE automation

Hi,

We are attempting to automate the SRTCODE process on the AS/400 (V5R1) to 
enable CL and CMD Prompting during the edit session.

Currently we need to (via Clent Access)
1. start an AS/400 session
2. issue the STRCODE command with an IP Address

Is there a way to automate this via Client Access or within the WDT400 
package on the PC.

I can not see the mandated reason for each developer being forced to signon 
to the AS400 to start their STRCODE session. I understand it is only for 
Prompting CL and Commands, But why should the developer have to signon to 
the AS400 to start this process...

Does anyone have any Ideas???
