This is exactly what we were looking for : a way to call an AS/400 program from
another system.

Now let's just hope that it also works on 3.2 (we develop on 4.2 in Belgium, but
this specific production machine is located in Spain and presently down).

If you have FTP on AS/400 then run remote command  to run as/400 programs or
commands. Following is a example of running a command using FTP:

         e.g.: quote RCMD SNDNETF FILE(filename) TOUSRID((XXXUSER XXXPWD))
