Hello everyone,
I have a field that is 40 characters long and I would like to center any
text that comes into this field.  Does anyone know how to do this.  I am
trying to use OVERLAY but I get an error when I specify the second
parameter (Start Position) as another field in my program.  HELP !!! :-(

Peace of cake ...

                  CNAME           BEGSR
                  '   '                   CHEKR     NAME          X
20
                  30                    SUB         X                  X
                  X                      DIV          2                  X
                  '  '                     CAT         NAME:X       EMPNAM
                                          ENDSR

Hope that helps... I'm in a rush to sign off right now ... but it works...

RPGIV probably uses something different than CHEKR like CHECKR but this is
what I could remember real fast.
