I know you are looking for a book with RPG examples.  Several people have
already replied with appropriate suggestions.  However you might consider
something which is not RPG-based.  The subprocedure concept does not come
from RPG, but from other languages like C, java, etc.  Those people in my
shop who have only known RPG and its forerunners have a very difficult
time with subprocedures.  Those here who have a C background find them to
be natural and extremely beneficial.
