Hi Jim,

No, it's not an excuse to write sloppy programs. It's a reason to use a
compile listing to find whether an indicator is being used instead of simply
scanning for it. If you're energetic enough to write 20 lines of code to set
indicators off instead of 1, then you probably have enough energy to compile
a program with *NOGEN and look at the spool file to find a free indicator.

In any case, these days, our energy should be spent figuring out how to do
something without indicators.
