Jim:

The solution on Test is to use TEST(D E) and then %ERROR, so your code
sample would be
C *YMD TEST(D E) SomeDate
C If NOT %ERROR

I'm one of the programmers who doesn't like using indicators in
new RPG IV code. Yet, I find myself having to use them in a few
cases, notably the opcode TEST.

C *YMD TEST(D) SomeDate 99
C If NOT *IN99
...

Is there yet a workaround this where we don't have to use indicators
yet?

Also, what is the URL to the IBM ination? www.ination.com is not it,
that's some www.cyberdistrict.com (whatever that is).

Thanks.

Regards,

Jim Langston
