No...   That technique is only necessary when using "SBMJOB", "QCMDEXC"
or using the "CALL" command from the command-line.  (Or any other time
that the system can't directly pass the parm by reference)

When a program directly calls another program, it's not an issue.  You
just have to make sure the variables are of the same type and size.
When a module calls another module, it's even safer, since you know 
nobody is going to come along later and try to change it to "SBMJOB" :)
