You should also be able to send an ASCII sequence to the printer and it
should change the drawers (if the write code is used).

The guy that wrote FONTTOOLs on my website uses this to change fonts on TCP
Printers.  You just set up ascii escape sequences and it passes them to the
printer in the printer file.

You need to compile the printer file with REPLACE UNPRINTABLE CHARACTERS
(*NO) once you get it set up.
