You assume correctly.  If you want to "play" with it prior to the arrival
of V5R1, you will find the same support in the V3R2M3 and later releases of
VARPG.

As to more info, Hans and Barbara wrote a terrific article on V5
enhancements for the May edition of iSeries magazine.  I already have my
copy so yours should be around somewhere.  The part on Java
Interoperability was considered sufficiently important to warrant being a
separate article (it is in the Tech section towards the back of the Mag.
George Farr also wrote a piece for News/400 which was published at the end
of the year.

I'll be posting my own presentation on our website later this month once
I've finished the notes.
