Hi Raja,

That would be a 'No' to both questions.

Cheers

Martin

Subject: Problem processing Internally described file

        All,

I am trying to test a program which processes records from an
internally
described file.

        The way it works is:

        1. A logical using substrings and selections is used to obtain the
rrn on
the flat file of the required detail header record (from the infds of the
logical).

        2. This value is then used to position to the required record on the

internally described file.

        Problem:

The logical contains the required record but the rrn value returned
is 5
whereas the rrn on the file is 1118 so it is reading record 5 instead of
record 1118. I have only changed a couple of lines of code in this program
and can only assume it is working fine in Live apart from the problem I am
trying to fix which involves the processing of certain records from the
file. I have not changed any of the file access functionality.

        Pgm is OPM RPG (400).

        Any help greatly appreciated.

        Martin
