  • Subject: Subfile in Reusable Procedures

Hi All,

Has anyone ever encountered these:
1. Created a Maintenance program with subfile, and make it a procedure.
2. There's a condition where the module, when it is active, then call
another program which then call that same module again.
(Design consideration vs User wishes)

Questions that I have:
1. Will the subfile, be locked on the 2nd attempt? What are the options to
make it work?
2. As far as the updated file, I can always use read(n) & unlock. Or to make
it lock, only when it needs to update it. Or, is there a better way? Can i
use it for display file (subfile), by using REL?

All inputs are welcome and appreciated.

Regards,

Jean Reksodiputro
