I am changing a pgm for a vendor - a RPGIII / RPT program

I have run into what would appear to be a compiler limitation.
and, the vendor will not accept converting the pgm to ILE <yet>



Any ideas ???

Leave source as RPGIII, write a cl to convert and Create a ILE program.


Use Logicals that only have fields you need, make new ones.  You need to reduce
all unnecessary field references, fields are considered objects.


Break logical portions of program, that might stand alone, into another program,
let one call the other and pass parms back and forth.
